Brand clarity can be found, when you cast your mind back to the moment everything changed. When the penny dropped and the lightbulb above your head illuminated. Perhaps the thought had been lurking in the background for weeks, months or even years. Or maybe a lightning bolt struck and nothing was ever the same again. Whatever the reason may be, the moment you took the step to start your business is your reason for where you are today.
If you’re only just starting out or your brand has lost its way recently, it’s never too early or too late to get back to basics and find some clarity. Once you know, you can build on your brand from there.
Your passion is what drives you and helps keep you on track, it’s nice to look back at how far you’ve come, or how far you can go.
If you’re still at the idea stage and looking to niche down, then see this
Defining your business
Ask yourself;
Does your business solve a problem? A problem you’ve encountered or you can see someone else struggling with.
Is there a gap in the market? Have you created a new market?
Does your idea already exist, but you can do it better? Do you already use the product or service you want to start, but know you could do it more efficiently, cheaper, more luxurious etc.
This is clarity and should never be compromised for the sake of design. If you’re clear on what you’re offering and your customers are clear on how you can help them, then you’re on the right track. Clarity helps open up a dialogue, instead of a one side conversation.
